Normally our Treasurer, Harold, W6IWI, is … well, he is the treasurer of our club, and does work with old teletype machines, and likes CW… Just our kind of fun guy!! A recent message to the RST General Membership Listserver was too good to go unread in your inbox. So, without further introduction, here is some great information from W6IWI. Thanks Harold!! – The k7rst.club editors.

https://w6iwi – Definitely check this out!

I’m typically on 40 meter CW in the evenings for my “daily dose of CW.” You can see my latest log and RBN report at https://w6iwi.org.

More fun – Morsle

But, for more fun, try Morsle. It’s like Wordle, but in Morse. There is a daily test that starts at 40 wpm and back down as you try successively. There is also a practice mode where you can lock it at a certain speed (I use 20 wpm) and have it keep feeding you words. You can use the enter key to bring up a new word and the spacebar to play it again.

Even more fun – Precision CW Fist Check

Finally, there is Precision CW Fist Check. It will check your CW timing and report the results. You set a speed, and it then checks dit time, time between dits, dah time, time between characters, time between words, and more. Watching it while sending can form a feedback loop where your timing slowly improves (though I still run words together!).

Have fun with CW!
