Coming up to Ramada 22 at Reid Park this past Wednesday, I was greeted by the heart warming sight of two antennas, at what looked to be another well attended RST “Day in the Park!”
Sure enough, the operators were so busy working stations it was hard to get them to look up! But I managed to catch a few pictures. Don, KD7UIZ, tells me that the pizza went fast, but I didn’t find anyone complaining! Grab your radio and come on down to the next RST “Day in the Park” on Oct 25, at Ramada 22 in Reid Park Zoo! (If you prefer to stay home, you could try CW on 2M and have a QSO with K7NSW, Richard, I’m sure he would be very happy!)
KK7NRM, Gary and W0PSN, Kirk, observing, and probably wise cracking, as KK7MOK, Paul tries out an Alinco radio a ham acquired at the hamfest. It seemed to be working pretty well driving an end-fed antenna.
