The RST Contest and Special Event SIG is looking for operators for our CACTUS Special Event (SE). The CACTUS SE starts on November 21st. This is a chance for local operators to be on the bottom of a pile-up. Please see attached. We intend to operate on VHF and UHF as well as HF so there is room for all license classes. Please see attached.

The Contest and Special Event (CASE) Special Interest Group (SIG) will be conducting a “really big show” from 11/21 to 11/30 this year. We are calling this our Arizona Cactus Special Event, an autumn celebration of the Sonoran Desert’s native plants. We have been granted the following callsigns.

In November we will need SSB, CW, Digital, FM, and AM operators. For instance, on 40-meters, one could have SSB, CW, FT-8, and AM on the air at the same time (from different locations of course to avoid interference). Operation would be primarily from home. However a picnic, or Radio-Days-In-The-Park is possible. Or even an overnight campout, maybe. (Scout Camp would be great on the weekend of November 21 – 23 and no one else there.)
