Hi all,
The Arizona QSO Party is just around the corner! It takes place on Saturday, October 11, running from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM local time.
This year, RST’s club station will be set up at the “OK Corral”—Ken Boyd’s (N7NBV) barn and corral at 855 N Camino Cordon. We’ll be operating a 500-watt station with a variety of antennas, including a multiband 80–10 Butternut vertical and a 3-element 10m beam (K7NX DIY). We may also add a horizontal multiband wire—TBD.
The guest house will be available for restroom access and offers a comfy sofa to relax, cool off, and socialize.
Setup should be straightforward, as the gear and antennas are already on site. I’ll be heading over Friday afternoon to get everything cabled up and tested. Feel free to join me if you’d like to help.
Operators and visitors are welcome anytime during the contest, but those who sign up for 1–2 hour slots will have priority at the mic and key. To sign up, just reply directly to this email. I’ll update the [RST AZQP Schedule Google Sheet] with confirmed slots so you can see what’s still open.
Looking forward to a fun day of radio and camaraderie at the OK Corral!
