We will be running a Yeasu FT-991A driving an Extended Double Zepp antenna and have a variety of activities for all.

We would love for you and an invited family member or friend to join us!

Here are some more details:

  • Help us operate. We will be operating in half-hour periods from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Please sign up (see below) to take a turn at operating (either as “Primary” or “Secondary”) Voice or CW. Our goal is to work in all AZ counties, which is a great opportunity to get operating experience. We will be using the club call sign, K7RST and also use the club AC Log logging software. If you want to bring an antenna to try out, please do it!! We will try your antenna if you want to see how it performs.
  • Have breakfast and or lunch. The Scout Troup 157 has agreed to have breakfast and lunch available (donations accepted) Please let us know if you plan to have breakfast or lunch so we can plan accordingly (see below.)
  • In addition to the operating table, we will have various “show and tell” equipment and information. It’s a great way to show family or friends some ham radio equipment and activities. We will have a covered canopy for relaxing and discussions (separated from the operating table to reduce distractions for the operators. Please bring your chair. We are looking forward to a fun Saturday and making a lot of contacts for this Arizona event, and I hope to see you there!

To help us in planning, please send a note to Ken, N7NBV, kenwboyd@gmail.com with the following info.

    • What time slots (30 minutes on the hour and half hour), i.e. 09:30-10:00

    • Breakfast / Lunch / both – approx. number of people
  • I have a 4:1 or 9:1 BALUN (100W) I can loan for operating
