Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, June 13th. Our presenter will be Steve, KW4H. The topic will be the history of the Heathkit HW-101 and restoration of a Heathkit HW-101. With around 35,000 units sold, the Heathkit HW-101 is in many ways unequaled in amateur radio history.
Steve will provide a deep dive into the fascinating history of the HW-101 HF transceiver – including how it came to be, the operational characteristics, the technical design — and a very special hands-on display.
Steve will showcase a fully rebuilt (from bare metal) and 100 percent operational HW-101 using all-new components, and a discussion on how that was accomplished and the benefits of doing so.
June meeting well attended, presentation link below
